My journey – fascination turned into responsibility
When I think back to my early days at the company, I see myself in 1999 – full of enthusiasm, standing in the middle of our newly completed production hall. I was young, curious, and impressed by the power and precision involved in working with steel. Back then, it was clear to me: this is more than just a job. It's a task with a future. In 2006, I was appointed second managing director – alongside my father, who had built up the company with foresight, courage, and technical expertise. I was able to learn, help shape the company, and slowly take on responsibility. When he retired in 2015 at the age of 72, the moment had come: since October 2016, I have been proudly and confidently leading our company into the next generation.
The fascination with steel remains – but today, there is more at stake.
Today, it's about innovation, sustainability, and reliable solutions for demanding customers. We have digitized – with modern CAD/CAM systems – we have automated – with our welding robot – and we are continuously investing in new technologies and processes. We are currently working intensively on reducing CO₂ emissions in production. Not because it is a trend, but because we want to take responsibility – for our future and that of our customers.
What drives us is the desire to make the handling of steel safer, more efficient, and more intelligent. Steel is heavy, strong, and demanding – that's exactly what we love about it. And this is precisely where we have been developing exciting solutions for years that stand up to everyday use.
